History
Bluefield Engineered Systems (BES) was founded in 2002 in Grand Rapids, Michigan by president Mark Blauvelt who has over 30 years experience in the HVAC industry. BES was originally founded as Bluefield Supply primarily focused on building controls. In 2005, the supply distribution portion of the business was sold for an opportunity to focus on the manufacturers representation portion of the business.
BES now specializes in representing industry leading HVAC manufacturers with a focus on metering, detection, laboratory controls, energy recovery systems and highly efficient dampers. BES serves a myriad of industries with clients that range from universities, commercial buildings, industrial users to specialized laboratories. BES works with controls contractors, MEP engineering firms and owners to provide customized solutions to maximize controllability and system efficiency.
